About

The horse racing tips service that shows its working.

UK & Ireland flat & jumps · accountable in public · live P/L tracking since 21 May 2026

The Form Signal exists because tipping, as an industry, has a transparency problem. Most services cherry-pick wins, hide losses, and dress hunches up as analysis. We do none of those things.

What we do

Every morning we score every flat and jumps race in the UK and Ireland. The selections are published before racing starts — on this site and on @theformsignal on X — and every result is logged the same day, win or lose.

Two things go out each morning, and they are not the same size. The daily card is the five selections we put our name to: two short-priced, three at a bigger price. That card is what the /record page tracks, every pick of it, win or lose, with nothing edited or quietly retired. The X thread is wider — it carries every runner that qualified that morning, usually ten to fifteen, so you can see the full output of the system rather than just the part we picked out. The thread is not the card, and the record does not claim to cover it.

What makes the picks

Our horse racing system was built over two years of research into UK and Ireland race data. It blends four independent form layers — every one measurable, every one tested against years of historical results — into a single morning score. The architecture is proprietary, but the principle isn't: we trust process over opinion, and durable patterns over recent noise.

What we don't do: take tipster shouts, follow market rumours, repackage other people's selections, or let generative AI anywhere near a selection. The system is rules-based end to end, repeatable, and built to be auditable. The short write-up underneath each pick is drafted by a language model from the system's own output, so the wording is assisted — but the call it is describing never is.

How tips are structured

  • Bankers — singles at 4/1 or shorter, where the model expects to win.
  • Value — bigger-priced calls, from 4/1 out to 7/1, where the data sees something the market doesn't.
  • Multiples — a daily treble and a Lucky 15, built from the day's strongest selections.

Everything is win-only and staked between 1pt and 3pt depending on which signal fired. We used to play the bigger prices each-way and we stopped on 29 July 2026: re-settling every pick both ways showed the place leg was diluting the win edge rather than protecting it. We also capped the top price at 7/1 the same day, because above that our rating stopped separating winners from losers.

The honesty rules

  • Every pick is published before the race runs. Time-stamped on X.
  • Every result is logged whether the pick won or lost. Nothing is removed after the fact.
  • The strike rate and P/L on /record covers every pick on the daily card, from launch onwards. The wider X thread is not counted there — see above.
  • Prices quoted are the advised price at posting. We track P/L at best odds guaranteed, at the advised stake of 1pt to 3pt.
  • Non-runners are flagged and refunded in the record.
  • When we change a selection rule, it applies from that day forward. Past results are never re-filtered to suit a new rule.

Who we are

The Form Signal is a one-person operation built by a long-time racing enthusiast with a background in data and systems analysis. The system was developed in private over two years before the V2.0 launch in May 2026. We're not a syndicate, not a tipping room, and not pretending to be anything we're not.
